Riaan started his career as a consultant in 1997 with the then Guardbank Unit Trust Company. Two years later he joined the Lisp industry with BoE then after four years moved to Old Mutual Personal Financial Advisors. He then returned to the Lisp arena with Ovation Global Investment Services in 2004 then onto AIMs in 2007.
His responsibilities have always been in the sales environment servicing IFAs, Corporates, Fund of Fund and Wrap Fund Managers. At MitonOptimal Riaan will continue focussing on these clients, particularly in the Western Cape region.
Riaan has obtained a NQF level 6 by completing a Diploma in Financial Markets & Instruments through The Academy of Financial Markets. He is currently studying towards an Advanced Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning (NQF level 7) through the University of Free State.
